Project Green

New day, new project. :) Anna set forth a GREEN challenge yesterday. So I looked through some archive shots and found this one from last year. It's the rice field across from our house. I love the rice when it's green like this. In just a few short weeks the grain will begin to show, and the plants will begin to bend with the weight of the rice. But for now, I'll enjoy this shot of nice green fields.

I antiqued the second shot just to give it a different feel.

Nice photo - interesting how shifting the color shifts the mood of the photo too.

I was thinking the other way around...I thought you enhanced the green in the first one. Wow, that was quite a green you found.

So pretty to see an ocean of green like this. I'm curious about the two photos...one darker green than the other. Were they taken at different times?

You would never get sick of that view, it reminds me of the sugar cane when it starts to grow over here, fresh, young and vibrant- very nice. i would be keen to here more about how you make your passionfruit drink? :0)

Hi all! Thanks for the comments. The pictures were taken on the same day (just two frames apart). The first one is normal, the second is antiqued. I like the second one because it looks like it was taken with a regular camera 20 or 30 years ago.

I love these projects, don't you? It gives me something to do with me pictures! :)

Have a good day!

I love your pictures as well, and the way the light is just peaking through the picture on the right.

I too love the projects - it makes me look at the world around me in a completely different way!! Now I really pay attention and the colors of the weeks jump out at me and scream for me to take notice!

Love the vivid green in the first shot! I can't get over how even the plants are even though they're so long. (Don't laugh at me. I'm a city girl.)

It looks like a nice, healthy lawn of pure grass... no dandelions or clovers! That must be why I have always loved rice.
